Uptown Park Ridge Final Phase Opens for Holiday Season

The final phase of the Park Ridge Uptown Redevelopment was completed in October of 2008, just in time to celebrate the holiday season. The development includes 270,000 square feet of residential space, 50,000 square feet of retail space, and 455 underground parking stalls, all in a bustling, pedestrian- friendly, mixed-use community that retains the historic character of Park Ridge.  In 2008, the project won two awards. The Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association chose the redevelopment as a Gold Award winner for its transit-oriented and mixed-use focus. Likewise, the Illinois Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism selected the project as its winner in the "Neighborhood, District and Corridor" category during the 2008 awards ceremony.

The Structural Group, Ltd. Receives SEAOI 2006 Best Structure Award

The Structural Engineers Association of Illinois (SEAOI) announced the 2006 Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards during its Annual Awards Banquet, held on June 10, 2006.  This marked the 27th anniversary of the program recognizing excellence in structural engineering.  Winning projects have been recognized throughout the United States and the world. 

The Structural Group, Ltd. was awarded the 2006 Best Small Structure Award for the Equinox Health Club Center, 900 North Michigan Ave., Chicago, Illinois.  The challenge was to convert a lower level theater space and parking garage into a 30,000 square foot exclusive health club at the base of a 66 story building as economically as possible.
